Avid readers of "the preppy debutante" know this is the time of year that Spirit Halloween Houston/Austin presents checks to two Texas children's hospitals, thanks to the Spirit customers who contribute to the Spirit of Children Campaign.
Keep in mind, that the money raised for both hospitals is collected in just 60 DAYS! The customer donations support the children's hospitals in Houston and Austin.
Today, the first check was presented to Dell Children's Medical Center in Austin, for $61,300.
The donation is given to the child life department, which provides developmental, educational and therapeutic support for children undergoing medical treatment. Last year's donation to Dell was also used to send some of their staff to their national conference, where they were able to brainstorm and bring back ideas from children's hospitals from around the country.
Tomorrow, we will present the Houston customer donation check to Texas Children's Hospital. Their last check was six figures. What will it be this year? Stay tuned for their big presentation!
