My mother's family is from Texas & Nashville, Tennessee. She grew up in San Antonio and I love going to the city that holds so much history for her! My sister-in-law married in San Antonio on New Year's Eve and we had a fantastic time watching her and her new husband exchange vows while ringing in a new decade.
Our hotel suite was on the
Paseo Del Rio and we simply opened the door of our balcony to watch the boats traveling along the river.

Of course, we made our usual stop by the
Alamo.

We had the chance to go to
Chunky's Burgers , which was featured on the
Travel Channel's Man vs. Food

The bride and groom had the "newlywed glow" during the reception...

...and right before midnight, we went out on the balcony over the Riverwalk to watch the fireworks over the city.
HAPPY NEW YEAR!!
